T3 Cotton Duck Hat

20 years ago I purchased my first Tilley. My kids were small and I remember thinking long and hard about making the purchase. 20 years later the second T3 arrived. Same amazing quality and comfort. Took if from Canada to pool side in Key West Florida. Life has changed. Kids are grown up and I decided it was time to treat myself. Wonder when my next Tilley will show up. Maybe for playing with the grandkids. Who knows

My 1st Tilley T3 was the Original and bought for me as a gift in the early 1980's (before Tilley hats were "Cool"). By 2002 I had that Original replaced (my 2nd Tilley T3) under the lifetime guarantee because I had also worn this hat to death (took 20 years). In 2022 I got my 3rd Tilley T3 Cotton Duck hat (also a replacement under the lifetime guarantee.)

These hats are very comfortable and have protected my scalp from sunburn on many occasions. And yes, they do float - have had it go overboard once or twice but it was easy to retrieve and there was no panic thinking the hat would sink into the abyss.

Tilley makes a high quality product and they stand by their warranty.

This was a replacement for my well used and worn out Tilley Hat. No questions asked; the lifetime guarantee was honored and I'm now wearing what will probably be my last Tilley hat. Thank you Tilley

So far, its been comfortable and seems more durable than my previous Air Flow.

The ventilation holes don't have meshes, but I'm not in an area with black flies and such so that doesn't impact me.

Tilley makes the best hats. I was relived to see that particular style I like is still made in Canada. The manufacturing of many other styles has been outsourced to Asia. Tilley: raise your prices if needed, but don’t ruin your brand by losing Canadian manufacturing. Many other customers are upset about this trend.
