At Tilley, our hats are designed to sit comfortably low on the head. The proper fit should be slightly loose, as gravity will keep your Tilley in place.
Step 1: Wrap a string around the widest part of your head, located 1 to 2 cm above the top of your ears and brow line.
Step 2: Determine the measurement with a ruler, then add 2 cm to the total, for comfort.
Step 3: Convert that final measurement into your hat size in the chart below.

Bought my first one (T3) over ten years ago! Love it and it still looks awesome! I wanted a new one for more casual wear and I decided on this. It’s comfortable stylish and will also last me many years! Quality stuff.

Tilley LTM5 Airflow hat is currently (as of May 2022) one of two models that Tilley offers in size 8+. It is my first Tilley hat and if they made more models available in size 8+ I would buy more hats. As for the hat itself, it is very light, surprisingly so, that in a medium to strong wind it may fly away. However it is comfortable and well made. Would definitely buy more hats from Tilley if they are made in larger sizes.
